UK Save 'Star Trek: Enterprise' Rally Saturday, February 26th, 2005 |
|||||
Rally F.A.Q Even though the rallies don't start until a set time, rally organisers will be at the rally site approximately half an hour before it is due to start, so feel free to come along early. We're hoping to rally for two hours at each location, which gives us two hours between the BBC rally and the C4 rally for transportation and lunch. We ask that you provide your own signs for the rally, and that you mention the TrekUnited.com website on there. Petitions will be available on the day to sign and send to Paramount. We will be taking camcorder footage and still photos of the day to send to Paramount.

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF ADDRESS FOR THE BBC RALLY! BBC TELEVISION CENTRE, WOOD LANE, LONDON, W12 7RJ!! As part of the World-Wide campaign for the renewal of 'Star Trek: Enterprise' for a fifth season, UK and European fans of the show and its 39 year legacy are joining together to stage a London-based rally in support of the LA rally planned by Trek United. We intend to hold a rally at two locations; the first will be at BBC Television Centre at 11am. We know that 'Enterprise' isn't shown on the BBC, but the channel has a long affiliation with the franchise and is a major media outlet. We need as much media attention as we can get. The second rally will take place outside Channel Four Television at 3pm. As you are aware, they hold the rights to the Terrestrial broadcast of 'Enterprise'. Both locations are easily accessible via the Tube. The main station for the BBC is White City (Central Line), which is opposite the building. For Channel Four, it is St. James Park (Circle and District Lines). The maps below show the route to each locale. You can plan your journey using the resources available at transportdirect.info and Transport for London. The addresses for the BBC and Channel Four are as follows:
We need as many people as possible to attend, so please, try to make it if you can. We have a discussion thread up and running, and you are welcome to post any ideas or queries there. Don't let our show go without a fight! Caroline, Emma and Matt, UK Rally Organisers REQUEST: We respect the fact that fans might want to show their support at the rally by wearing Star Trek uniforms, but we ask that all supporters wear their usual daily clothing. The media, more often than not, has a tendency to focus on what they consider to be a negative and we need to be taken seriously. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
